Over 80 years of experience are reflected in the quality of today's Multicar implement carriers. The chequered history of the company, always oriented towards progress and state-of-the-art production, began in Thuringia on 2 August 1920. The company survived the vicissitudes of World War Two, was almost completely dismantled by Russian soldiers, and was ultimately reconstructed by dedicated employees.
The launch into the free market
Multicar is the only vehicle manufacturer of the former GDR that was able to hold its ground on the market after the German reunification. When the Hako group of Bad Oldesloe stepped in in 1998 Multicar grew to become a competence centre for special-purpose vehicles. In June 2005, Multicar Spezialfahrzeuge GmbH was merged to form HAKO Werke GmbH. The intensity of cooperation in the fields of development, purchasing, and sales was raised further, giving the company a welcome boost in sales in the highly competitive market. Multicar's FUMO, M 27 and TREMO ranges of compact implement carriers and transporters provide the optimum solution for over 100 all-year-round applications.
